BCCI SHOULD BE SUPERSEDED
The BCCI [Board For Cricket Control in India] was formed to promote and encourage cricket in India. But today it has turned out to be a forum for the politicians, businessmen, and all other sundry to promote their own personal and private interests at the cost of cricket. Most of the members of the board have neither bowled a single over, nor batted for a single ball nor fielded on the ground in a test or one day match. More and more skeletons are coming out of the BCCI cupboard. There are allegations of corruption and favoritism in selecting players and captain of the team .As far as IPL is concerned there i s additional issue of conflict of interest. Black money and underworld money appear to be playing an important role in the affairs of BCCI. Nothing seems to be okay with BCCI. The government should therefore immediately supersede the BCCI and appoint an able senior administrator of great and proven integrity to look after the affairs of BCCI .He should be assisted by team of professional ex-cricketers of high repute and integrity like G R Viswanath , Ajit Wadekar ,Kapil Dev etc. Only professional cricketers who have played at least for 10 years for the country should be allowed to become office bearers of BCCI . In the long run the BCCI should be under the total control of the genuine cricketers.
